Translation Services: Languages Available for Sworn and Certified Translations in South Africa
For sworn translation in accordance with rule 59 of the rules of the Supreme Court, the following languages are available: French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Zulu, Ndebele, Venda, Afrikaans, Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, Swedish, Polish, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, English, Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Ukrainian, Hebrew, and vice versa.
Certified translations in accordance with rule 60 of the rules of the Supreme Court and general translations are available in over 250 languages. Simply send us an email with your requirements.
Please note the following:
- Documents translated by a certified translator cannot be Apostilled directly through the chief justice’s office (for use in countries that are members of the Apostille Convention). They must be notarized first before apostille or legalization (for use in countries not members of the Apostille Convention)
- To ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with legal and statutory requirements, the HCSTI assigns only qualified translators and interpreters to customers’ translation requests.
